Mike Tyson drops new boxing gloves Weed rubbers

On Tuesday, heavyweight champion and cannabis entrepreneur Mike Tyson launched a new version of his company’s Tyson 2.0 weed boosters, this time in the shape of a boxing glove. Tyson made headlines in 2022 with ear-shaped pieces of marijuana gum reminiscent of his infamous biting of Evander Holyfield’s ear in their 1997 title fight.

However, because the ear-shaped gums depict part of a person, they ran afoul of cannabis regulations in some markets, including Colorado, where new boxing gloves debuted at select dispensaries on Tuesday.

“We first introduced the Mike Bites ear-shaped edibles that took the world by storm,” Tyson said in a company statement. “These Knockout Gummies are another step in our mission to make plant-based wellness accessible to everyone. Whether it’s through the ears or through the gloves, I’m always looking for new ways to connect with my fans, and I believe these gums are real in Colorado.”

Like his career as a professional boxer, Tyson has become an icon of the regulated cannabis industry. His company, Tyson 2.0, launched in 2021 with the promise of offering the highest quality products in every regulated market it entered. In February, the company launched a cannabis seed series in collaboration with Royal Queen seeds. In addition to becoming a global cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0 has expanded into several other consumer product categories such as apparel and accessories. To date, the company has a presence in 16 countries around the world.

“Carma prides itself on bringing new products to market through our various brands, and we’re excited to bring Mike’s Knockout Gummies to Colorado first,” said Adam Wilks, CEO of Carma HoldCo, TYSON 2.0’s parent company. “Our goal is to offer unique customer experiences through our product range. This launch demonstrates our commitment to innovation and our ability to adapt to different market regulations while delivering the high-quality cannabis experiences our customers have come to expect from TYSON 2.0.
