In an important weekend for the driver at Michigan International Speedway, 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick scored a win that put him atop the NASCAR Cup Series standings – a first for his team. This historic win not only underscores Reddick’s growing dominance in the series, but also marks a significant milestone for 23XI Racing as it led the points standings for the first time in its short history.
Reddick, who has had a remarkably consistent season, now has seven career Cup victories, each at a different track, and his latest victory at Michigan cements his status as a championship contender.
So far this season he has shown incredible consistency, with no last seven races worse than sixth – something few can match.
Founded just four years ago, 23XI Racing, owned by NASCAR veteran Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan, has broken new ground with this feat. A team’s rapid rise in such a competitive environment speaks volumes for their strategy and execution.

NBC Sports analyst Kyle Petty praised the team’s exceptional performance (below):
“23XI, seemingly out of nowhere, four years old, is now ready to win a regular season championship against Penske, against Hendrick, against Roush, against Gibbs, against these established teams.
“These guys have done a phenomenal job. Hats off to Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan, who otherwise shouldn’t have left yesterday or he’d be back in Victory Lane.”
Reddick himself reflected on the challenges the team faced during the competition.
“On Sunday night we were scratching our heads in our McDonald’s Toyota Camry. Everyone in the 23XI did a really good job.
“We had a good mindset today about what we need. I love running high and I couldn’t yesterday. I knew it was important for us to work for this race today.
“The group did a really good job on that and we made some nice adjustments. Honestly, going into the third stage, we had a tough time on pit road, but they had a great catch. Great way to redeem a year ago here.”
The broader ramifications for NASCAR are profound, as 23XI Racing’s success breaks down traditional hierarchies and introduces a new powerhouse to the market.
